About ghostwriting and ghostwriters
Ghostwriting involves hiring someone else to write something, usually a book, for you.
Ghostwriting has been around for millennia, and some say that famous historical works, like the Bible, were in a sense ghostwritten because scribes, rather than the named prophets, actually wrote the content.
Nowadays, business leaders, politicians, actors, and other famous people are the ones best known for hiring ghostwriters to write their books, whether that book is a memoir or a how-to book.
But you don't have to be a politician, famous celebrity, or rich beyond belief in order to hire a ghostwriter. In fact, anyone can hire a ghostwriter and write a better book than they could have on their own.

When my car breaks down, I take it to a shop to get it fixed. My car, though it's not fancy, is a complicated machine, and I don't have the tools, the know-how, the space, or the patience to fix it.
The same might be said about the mammoth task of writing a book. It's a long, involved journey, and wise people hire a guide to help them along the way.
Most often that guide is a ghostwriter.
When you write your book with a ghostwriter's help, you benefit from their writing expertise, their knowledge of publishing, and their outside perspective to improve your book.
If you're like most people, this may be the only book you ever write. So why not make the one book you're going to write the best it can be?
Get your book written right the first time by hiring an expert. Because when you hire an expert ghostwriter the book you write ends up being:
Easier to read
More organized
Finished faster
Easier and more fun to work on

What is ghostwriting?
Why hire a ghostwriter?
You're probably here because you want to start or finish writing a book.

How much does a ghostwriter cost?
And now to talk about the burning question many of you have: how much does it cost to hire a ghostwriter?
Some people may think that ghostwriters work for a percentage of a published book's royalties.
Wrong.
Most of the ghostwriters I know work for hire, meaning that they charge a fee for what they do.
Naturally, some ghostwriters cost more than others. In fact, Prince Harry's ghostwriter was paid a cool million for his noble efforts, but most fees are a little more down to earth.
When you hire a skilled ghostwriter, you should expect to pay anywhere between $25,000 to $75,000 or more to have your book written.

About me, your ghostwriter

Hi there. Yes, I am not an agency or a large company. My operation is just me.
I've been writing professionally for a long time. I started out as a technical writer, and along the way I did some business writing, copywriting, and I even took a break from writing to run my own small consulting firm.
I know business and self-help, but I also love working on memoirs because I love telling stories.
My clients have included CEOs, dentists, retired billionaires (true story), social workers, accountants, you name it.
If you want to write a book but aren't sure you want to go it alone, let's talk.
Here's the same button that I've put all over this site. Click it to book a quick chat, but only if you're serious:
